Position: (Sr.) Project Manager
Location: Nashville, TN or Remote

Overview:

The Project Manager (PM) handles the planning and execution of utility- scale PV Solar projects (up to 200+MWp). Responsibilities may consist of managing a single project or a portfolio of projects in various stages executed concurrently depending on size and complexity. The PM will be the commercial lead, negotiate and enforce contract requirements, manage stakeholder relations, and project deliverable requirements.

Silicon Ranch is looking for a candidate who takes an analytical approach to solving problems and demonstrates strong communication skills. Given this role requires interaction with multiple stakeholders, a strong PM will need to demonstrate strong business acumen, strong organizational skills, and bias to action. It is necessary to operate with a one-team mindset and be able to ensure projects meet established milestones and deadlines.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Commercial lead on all commercial aspects of each project. Each project may require multiple contracts, such as solar EPC, substation EPC, equipment procurement (modules, GSU, etc.), interconnection, etc.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics, project schedules, risk profiles, and cost performance of the project in accordance with company systems and practices.
  • Participate in negotiation of project specific contracts, drawing support from other SRC departments and management, as needed.
  • Manage and report project scope, schedule, budget installation rates, and project risks with project controls team members.
  • Perform internal and external stakeholder management including all project communications and reporting
  • Interface with Environment, Health, Safety, and Security department and contractors related to company safety, environmental and regulatory compliance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage key project team members, in concert with their respective functional managers, about project-related activities and issues, for example, Project Engineer, Sourcing Manager, Site Manager, etc.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • 5 7 years of experience in project management roles leading complex projects

Technical:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Procore experience a plus.
  • Experience in leading complex projects with commercial/contractual responsibilities.
  • Excellent external and internal communication skills, including towards the executive team
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making ability

This position reports to the Director of Project Delivery.
