POSITION SUMMARY

The Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet the diverse staffing needs of our organization. This role involves active engagement with potential candidates, coordination with hiring managers, and management of the recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset, and a thorough understanding of recruitment best practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Talent Sourcing: Proactively source and engage potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
  • Candidate Screening: Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and assess candidates’ qualifications to determine their suitability for specific roles.
  • Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Job Posting: Create and manage job postings on internal and external platforms, ensuring they are up-to-date and compelling.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide regular updates on the recruitment process.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by maintaining clear communication, providing timely feedback, and offering support.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and innovative recruitment practices to attract top talent.
  • Onboarding Support: Assist in the onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition for new hires into the organization.
  • Compliance: Ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Other: additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to execute in other areas of the business; e.g. customer and ops support.

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS)

Education: Experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but not required.

Experience: 2 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably within construction and/or renewables.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using Excel, Google, and other recruitment tracking software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus, bu not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • General Office Environment: The position requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Use of computer and telephone is essential.
  • Travel: Minimal travel may be required for career fairs, networking events, and other recruitment activities.
  • Physical Effort: Light physical effort is required; ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
