Job Description
Job Overview:
- Lead the Scope 2 decarbonization roadmap.
- Develop and implement on-site renewable energy projects and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements.
- Develop and implement procurement strategy to increase renewable energy consumption.
- Manage power procurement for all cement plants in the U.S.
- Drive power provider selection process from Request for proposal (RFP) to recommendation
- Develop RFP including technical specifications, consumption profiles, price structure/schemes and supply duration
- Develop strategies to optimize the power cost.
- Monitor power cost key performance indicators (KPIs) monitoring including,
- Track renewable projects performance (i.e. Windmills in Victorville)
- Forecast monthly consumption and cost
- Lead Energy Efficiency program
- Coordinate Energy Management System
- Provide guidance for Energy-Star certification
- Development and coordination of Energy Efficiency projects
- Monitor Power regulation, grid availability (capacity) and service/subsidies opportunities.
- Incorporate strategy to Companys cornerstone plans: Budget and 5 years business plan and CO2 roadmap and Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility and Public Affairs plans
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business
Skills:
- Ten (10) experience in renewable energy project development and power contract negotiations
- Experience with U.S. power markets.
- Experience with on-site renewable energy projects.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year

Experience:

- cement plant: 5 years (Preferred)
