SCHEDULE
14/14 hitch rotation (12 hour days)
COMPENSATION
$681.43 – $757.14 per day ($45 – $50 per hour) – we offer full benefits
POSITION: Senior Lead Site Technician Offshore Wind
This role is an experienced Lead Site Technician / Site Technician Supervisor who will be training the US based (less experienced) Site Tech Supervisors in how to succeed in their new role. This will mean that this role will most likely be spending some time offshore showing them which tasks may done on the towers. This is why it is a requirement to hold GWOs. So expect that this person will be required to climb towers as well. The candidates will not be considered if they have not worked on an offshore windfarm before, and have not supervised a crew working offshore before.
Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day tasks. Both offshore and onshore works can be expected.
Tasks include, not limited to:
  • Responsible for the Site Technicians. Rota, timesheets etc.
  • Overall daily planning of tasks and RAMS for the Site Technicians.
  • Train the less experienced Site Technician Supervisors (aka Lead Site Technicians in EU) on how to succeed in their new role.
Assist Site Technicians BOP/OSS as required with daily tasks (subject to Site Technicians role description) e.g.:
  • Managing the maintenance of the OSS- crane, davit lifting systems and manual hoists.
  • Any extra tasks given to the Site Techs by the projects.
  • Snags after installation.
  • Walk-downs and checks (as directed by CM).
  • Assisting SAP’s with fitting of locks and chains during commissioning.
  • Servicing, repair, re-fuelling and removal of foundation generators.
  • General maintenance and inspections of mechanical OSS systems (not electrical during construction) including Helideck (Aviation/Temporary Navigation) if applicable.
  • Planning of davit crane operations
REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in leading/managing a crew
  • Relevant education/courses: Slinger & Banksman, Rigging level 1
  • Previously worked as a Site Technician/Lead
  • Experience with training, instructing or similar
  • Must hold a valid working permit/Visa for the US
  • Strong leadership capabilities They need to lead a team of union site technicians.
  • Professional behavior Understands that they are there to do a job and not networking.
  • Adaptable situation awareness, capable of liaison between client leadership and the team of technicians.
  • Capability to communicate management decisions that is supportive to client.

  • GWO courses: Sea Survival, Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling.
  • BOSIET/HUET incl. CA-EBS
  • OGUK Medical certificate incl. Chester Step

CONTRACT TERM
1 year with a possibility of extension
