This role will be dedicated to one of JLL’s largest clients, a global leader in technology and innovation. You will be working alongside the world’s leading technologists and innovators, helping them to achieve their ambitious 2030 Sustainability Commitments.

What This Job Involves

As a Senior Energy Analyst in the Sustainable Operations team, you analyse client energy usage to help identify opportunities to reduce consumption through programs, procedures, and investments. You will be dedicated to a leading technology client with facilities across North and South America, and will have the support of a full-time energy manager, a utility operations team, and a sustainability programs lead.

You are a Subject Matter Expert in energy consumption analytics and sustainability practices, particularly in the fields of utility cost management, common building energy-consuming equipment, and decarbonization.

Energy Conservation and Improvement Opportunities

  • Investigate and recommend process improvements to conserve energy
  • Support the implementation of energy and water conservation projects
  • Convert findings and proposals into compelling presentations to justify investments
  • Maintain trackers and databases related to IoT devices, energy-consuming equipment, and refrigerants

Analytics and Utility Account Management

  • Assist in the management of client utility accounts, and provide accurate and timely intelligence of how energy is used across the portfolio
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly utility budget reviews and forecasts
  • Report program progression and results to the client and internal technical services teams
  • Develop tools and templates to identify saving opportunities, generate reports, and build dashboards that inform strategic energy management activities
  • Maintain the client’s Energy Star portfolio

Required

  • BA/BS in Math, Science, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related technical degree
  • 2+ years’ experience with energy/sustainability conservation services.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software with experience in data analysis.
  • Experienced in managing simultaneous complex tasks from inception to successful completion.

Preferred

  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s licence.
  • Experience working within a facilities management, construction, or technical services environment
  • LEED or CEM accreditation
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) status
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organised.
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
  • Well-versed in the effective use of technology and tools including database query, script development, rapid analysis of large data sets, remote collaboration tools, and generative AI.
  • Demonstrated experience with building automation systems and/or energy modelling software is preferred
