Summary Of Role

Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities

We’re seeking a qualified sales representative to drive sales of our market-leading Climate products and services in North America (US and Canada). The sales representative will have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at generating leads, building relationships with clients, working with internal experts to define Scopes of Work, and closing deals. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving clients’ needs, has a team mentality and is a quick learner with an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate leads and build relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Develop business development strategies using comprehensive data analysis of internal and external market data
  • Adjust business development techniques and customer-facing communications, and recommend changes in products and services, according to results in the field and market developments
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with clients and understanding their needs
  • Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories
  • Follow a defined selling process with potential buyers, often including product demos and presentations
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and products
  • Prepare concise and accurate reports, proposals, and other required documentation for executive-level presentations
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as weekly work plans and periodic analysesCoordinate with other sales representatives and consulting staff in the development and execution of sales and marketing activities
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops/conferences, reviewing publications, and establishing personal networks.

Key Requirements & Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

  • At least 7 years’ experience in selling services in at least two of these areas: Industrial decarbonization, energy efficiency, energy transition, electrification, energy generation and corporate decarbonization
  • Knowledge and understanding of any of the following areas: industrial / manufacturing sectors, chemical processes, techno-economic analysis, risk-analysis and investment strategies (capex/opex/ROI)
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the sustainability market in general, including GHG accounting, target-setting and climate-risk, with a focus on decarbonization strategy and implementation
  • Ability to rapidly acquire deep and comprehensive knowledge of how our solutions meet the needs of customers
  • Demonstrated experience in client prospecting, lead generation, capture processes and closing
  • Proven leadership in developing and delivering winning proposals, presentations and pricing strategies
  • Experience managing proposal teams, and upskilling staff with business development and proposal best practices
  • Experience creating marketing content, copy and marketing material as well as collaborating with Marketing Teams on the execution of campaigns and events
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to balance persuasion with professionalism
  • Proficiency with sales management software and CRM
