Job Overview

As a Senior Trade Compliance Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our global operations comply with government regulations. You’ll manage imports across our diverse manufacturing network, including our own facilities and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Classification Expertise: Determine product classifications and ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks.

Regulatory Oversight: Stay informed on Customs and Export Regulations, ensuring full compliance.

Policy Development: Assist in creating and implementing trade compliance policies and procedures.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with logistics, purchasing, and engineering teams, along with external partners, to streamline processes and ensure compliance.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancement and drive initiatives that improve efficiency and compliance.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and oversee timely submissions of required documentation.

Education and Support: Provide guidance to internal teams on international shipping and export requirements.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience: 6-8 years in global trade compliance.

Certifications: Licensed Customs Broker or equivalent certification preferred.

Skills: Proficiency in product classification (HTS, ECCN), familiarity with hazardous materials regulations, and experience with trade compliance software.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Organizational Skills: Solid organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple priorities.
