Join our passionate Energy Trading team as a Settlements Analyst and play a pioneering role in shaping our settlements reconciliation process.

Here’s What You’ll Do

Become a settlements whiz, preparing, evaluating, and validating invoices with our trading partners.

Own the daily accounting for ISO/RTO (Independent System Operator/Regional Transmission Organization) and counterparty interactions, focusing on shadow settlements (simulated settlements for comparison).

Manage the checkout process for physical trades before scheduling with ISOs and RTOs.

Coordinate financial activities for energy trading, ensuring smooth accounts payable and receivable operations.

Analyze and compare power trading derivatives to create insightful commercial disparity reports.

To Thrive Here, You’ll Have

2-4+ years of experience in energy trading and power market settlements.

A proven track record in power trading reconciliations, confirmations, derivatives, and settlements validations.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both internal teams and external trading partners.

Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI to optimize portfolios and navigate the complexities of physical/virtual power trading across renewables (solar, wind, BESS), natural gas, and more.

A sharp analytical mind with a grasp of power market pricing, hedging strategies, transaction structuring, and risk assessments.

Understanding of real-time energy trading, derivatives, power marketing, and transmission market operations, including relevant industry regulations.

Familiarity with national energy markets and major renewable energy regions (PJM, ERCOT, SPP, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, CAISO).
