I have been engaged by nationally recognized engineering consultancy in the renewables space who exclusively focus on utility-scale Solar, BESS & Substation projects. They have built over 25GW of Solar and BESS projects since their inception.

They are now looking for a Senior Power Studies Engineer to join the team as they renewables revolution continues in the US!

Responsibilities:

• You will carry out the analysis, design, and optimization of power systems such as short circuit, grounding, co-ordination & arc flash using ETAP or SKM.
• Overseeing projects from start to finish, focusing on power quality, reliability, and system efficiency.
• Lead and support the team of Power Studies Engineers for the project design, specifications and plans.
• Analysis for wire trenches using AmpCalc or CYMCAP

Qualifications:

• Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Degree
• EIT or P.E Preferred
• 6+ years experience with 2 years of experience in managing projects.
• Knowledge of power plant modelling software such as ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, PSS/E, CYMCAP.
• Understanding of renewable engineering systems – Solar or Battery Storage / BESS
