Position Summary
Join a fast-growing battery storage IPP team & lead responses to energy storage RFPs and managing offtake opportunities. The position requires experience in renewable energy project development, regulatory frameworks, and a strong technical understanding of batteries. The ideal candidate has a background in renewable energy finance.
Responsibilities
- Lead responses to energy storage RFPs and manage potential offtake opportunities.
- Travel across the United States to work with local stakeholders, including Community Choice Aggregators, local governments, and utilities.
- Negotiate agreements with various stakeholder groups to minimize project risks.
- Monitor industry trends and communicate new opportunities or strategy changes to development and analytical teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in power and utilities development, particularly in renewable utility-scale energy storage.
- Strong knowledge of project finance, financial modeling, and valuation techniques.
- Experience with CAISO and ERCOT systems, including sourcing, closing, and originating offtake agreements.
