Key Responsibilities
Develop and Maintain Schedules: Create and manage detailed project schedules for significant projects, covering all phases from initiation to completion.
Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather necessary data for accurate scheduling.
Risk Management: Identify potential schedule risks and propose strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project timelines are met.
Visual Reporting: Utilize scheduling software to produce visual aids such as Gantt charts, enabling clear reporting of project progress to senior management and stakeholders.
Optimization and Strategy: Lead scheduling strategy meetings and provide expert advice on schedule optimization, adjustments, and potential impacts of changes.
Integration and Analysis: Ensure schedules are integrated across multiple projects and disciplines, promoting cohesive project execution. Conduct scenario analysis and planning for various project outcomes.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports analyzing variations and comparing baseline schedules to progress schedules, utilizing tools such as critical path method and resource loading.
Required Skills And Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years in project scheduling, with at least 4 years focused on large-scale projects.
Software Proficiency: Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 is essential.
Project Management Knowledge: Strong understanding of project management processes, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk management.
Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex schedules clearly.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications (not Required)
Experience in industries such as nuclear, renewable energy, or construction.
Familiarity with additional scheduling tools and techniques.
