Role: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Raleigh – Durham Area

Salary Range: $140,000 – $180,000

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client’s team in the Raleigh-Durham Area. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in the solar energy sector, with a strong background in electrical engineering. This role involves designing, developing, and overseeing solar PV systems, ensuring they meet high standards of efficiency and reliability. The candidate must possess an electrical engineering degree and either hold a Professional Engineer certification or be able to obtain it within six months of hiring.

The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working with Commercial or larger solar projects
  • Deep understanding of AutoCAD with the ability to build PV layout designs
  • Advanced skills in ETAP for power system modeling and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV system design, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and component selection
  • Ability to ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, and other relevant industry standards and codes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and budget constraints
  • Electrical Engineering degree with a PE certification or the ability to obtain on within 6 months
