Job Summary

This position is for a Transportation an Installation (T&I) Project Manager to represent *** for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project. The CVOW project entails the construction and installation of 176 wind turbine generators and three offshore substations; as well as, associated cables and equipment 27 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The T&I Project Manager will report to the Manager – Site Construction, Offshore Wind. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and budget of the T&I package. Close day to day interaction with other CVOW package managers, site construction team, and the Commissioning Manager. The T&I Manager will be required to ensure all equipment is transported, installed, and commissioned as required in a timely manner. The candidate will be required to work with the T&I prime contractor to ensure the equipment transportation, installation, and commissioning activities meet the Owner’s requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, relevant technologies, and leadership in the assigned project areas.
• Experience in offshore wind construction, maritime construction, or heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
• Good knowledge of marine, mechanical, electrical, and controls system.
• Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) as required.
• Proficient with interpreting technical drawings, documents & management reports.
• Ability to lead and manage multiple work fronts.
• Currently GWO certified or ability to obtain certification.
• May be required to work in an offshore environment.

Required Years Of Experience

• 7+ years of project management experience in the field of construction, engineering, finance and/or management with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in project management
• 4+ of those years MUST be directly in a Transportation and Installation Project Manager Role

Education

• Bachelor Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education
• Other Education: Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology

• Candidate must have renewables experience as a project manager
• Preference for candidate with direct experience in the offshore wind world
