Are you an experienced professional, passionate about advancing energy storage solutions? This VP of Engineering position focuses on electrical engineering to lead the development and manufacturing of battery modules and packs for utility-scale and mobile applications. In this influential role, you will oversee electrical design decisions, material selections, manufacturing partner identification, and testing processes to ensure the highest quality standards are met.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in engineering battery modules, packs, and system integration, particularly with Lithium-Ion Batteries.
• Deep expertise in material selection, cooling strategies, and fire propagation risk mitigation for battery modules and packs.
• Comprehensive understanding of Li battery technologies, electrical engineering principles, manufacturing tactics, and safety protocols.
• Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, with a preference for Electrical Engineering.
• Proven track record of collaborating with third-party contract manufacturers and service providers.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Design, manufacture, and thoroughly test the electrical aspects of battery modules and packs to ensure optimal performance.
• Curate materials and select third-party manufacturers, and oversee the entire manufacturing process.
• Lead a team of electrical, mechanical, and controls engineers.
• Play a pivotal role in facilitating successful system integration.
• Foster innovation by conceptualizing new electrical engineering approaches and developing project plans for future initiatives.
