BESS/PV Project Manager – REMOTE

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated BESS & Solar Engineering Project Manager to oversee the design, development, and implementation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and solar power projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong technical knowledge in both BESS and solar energy systems, along with excellent project management and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Management:

• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining timelines, resources, budget, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Manage project execution to ensure adherence to plan, and adjust plans as needed to accommodate changes.

Technical Oversight:

• Provide technical guidance on the design and implementation of BESS and solar systems.
• Ensure all engineering work is compliant with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and operational manuals.

Team Leadership:

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress to ensure project milestones are met.
• Mentor and support team members in their professional development.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, highlighting key progress and any issues.
• Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate project status and address concerns.

Budget and Resource Management:

• Monitor project budgets and control expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Allocate resources efficiently to maximize project output and meet deadlines.
• Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure the highest standards of quality in all project deliverables.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing to validate system performance and compliance.
• Address and resolve any issues or defects identified during project execution.

Qualifications

• Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector, specifically with BESS and solar projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects from start to finish.

Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of BESS and solar energy systems.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Certifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is highly desirable.
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., NABCEP, PE) are a plus.
