Job Description

We are searching for a Safety Consultant ll on behalf of our client for a 5 months contract assignment. The person will provide safety consulting onsite safety for two solar projects. The safety manager will oversee and coordinate the safety policies, programs, and procedures of the plant. The person will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices. Construction of a 325 MW solar farm (Pueblo, CO) approximately 290 full-time craft onsite and an 8 MW solar farm (Littleton, CO) Staffing for this has not yet been determined.

Location: Pueblo, CO & Ltttleton, CO

Hourly rate is $62.00/hr. Non-Exempt position.

This is a 5 month contract assignment.

Per Diem offered. No relocation assistance available.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site safety orientations, participate in Pre-Job Safety Reviews and project planning to ensure successful and safe execution of work tasks, conduct daily site safety observations, provide coaching, conduct a weekly ‘all hands safety meeting’, manage all hot work permitting, overseeing all incident investigations, and generating all required documentation in SiteDocs.
  • Safety Position Scope: Provide safety oversight over all construction activities taking place on-site for the Solar project ( Pueblo, CO) and provide periodic support for the Solar project in Ltttleton, CO.
  • Responsible to recognize, monitor and make recommendations to ensure that workplace safety hazards are corrected through on-site audits, consulting, ergonomic assessments and interventions according to OSHA and other regulatory agencies; collaborate on safety policy development and training.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
  • Advanced computer software skills and a seasoned Safety Consultant
  • Audit OSHA Certification a plus.
  • Must have at least five years of experience in operations, safety management, or a related field.
  • Either CHST or OSHT certification a plus
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Compliance.
  • Experience with site personnel.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
