Job Summary: The Operations and Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and optimization of battery storage facilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale battery storage systems, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and reliability. This role requires a deep understanding of battery technologies, electrical systems, and energy management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of battery storage facilities, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and maintenance schedules to maximize system reliability and efficiency.
• Monitor system performance using advanced diagnostic tools and software, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams during the installation and commissioning of new battery storage systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing of equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with specifications.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide technical support and training to on-site personnel and other stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare detailed reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and project progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations engineering, with at least 3 years specifically focused on battery storage systems.
• Strong knowledge of battery technologies, including lithium-ion, flow batteries, and other emerging technologies.
• Proficiency in using SCADA systems, energy management software, and other diagnostic tools.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing operational procedures and maintenance schedules.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to travel to various site locations as required.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with renewable energy systems, such as solar or wind power.
• Knowledge of energy market dynamics and grid operations.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to battery storage systems.
