About the Position

The Inventory Control Specialist will come to know every component that goes into building a Cherry Street Energy PV system. You’ll have ownership over how material is organized, be responsible for a new initiative to barcode all tools, and provide support to procurement and construction. If needed, Cherry Street will enter the person in this role into an online PV101 course, and the person will be expected to spend time assisting on a job sites to see first-hand how equipment is deployed in the field. The position reports to Cherry Street Energy’s Procurement Manager.

Job Duties Include:

  • Maintain organization of materials and equipment stored in storage at Cherry Street Energy’s headquarters and at a 3rd party warehouse in Ellenwood, GA
  • Updating inventory tracking systems and project BOMs (Bill of Materials) upon receipt or removal of equipment/materials
  • Checking all deliveries to ensure the shipment matches the orders and packing slips
  • Organizing material returned from job site for inventory, return or recycling
  • Pulling, packaging, and palletizing equipment and materials for delivery at the outset of new construction projects
  • Generating packing lists for freight leaving warehouses to job site
  • Facilitating requests from construction on active jobs for materials needed from inventory
  • Receiving, tracking and shipping equipment returned and replaced via RMA
  • Organizing and tracking construction equipment and tools
  • Supporting some procurement functions to be able to act as a back-up to the Procurement Manager

You’re the right person for this job if you’re:

  • Highly organized as it relates to physical and digital spaces
  • Adept at learning and/or working across various digital platforms such as Smartsheets, Slack and Kojo
  • Prior experience with electrical supplies and/or solar energy is a plus and not required
  • Must have a valid drivers license and a vehicle (Mileage is reimbursable at the federal rate)
  • Able to lift up to 50lb
