Job Description

Grenergy Renovables is a Spanish company created in 2007, an independent producer of energy from renewable sources, mainly wind and photovoltaic, which has been listed on the Continuous Market since 2019. Our business model covers all phases of the project, from development, going through the construction and financial structuring to the operation and maintenance of the plants. We currently have a strong presence in US, LATAM (Chile, Peru, Argentina, México and Colombia) and Europe (Spain, Italy and UK).

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead our construction efforts in the rapidly growing renewable energy sector in the United States. As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction phase of renewable energy projects, ensuring the successful execution of design and construction activities from inception to completion. This position will be specifically focused on managing the implementation of our portfolio of BESS projects located in ERCOT (Texas) region.

Responsibilities

  • Accountability for the successful project management and execution of a BESS portfolio.
  • Secure and manage all necessary construction permits. Familiarity with local jurisdictions and codes.
  • Senior Manager in the Program/Project Management Office (PMO)
  • Accountable for ensuring U.S. design standards are met to U.S. grid specifications.
  • Oversee the execution of construction activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Includes oversight of site construction manager(s).
  • Select and manage subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Review and enforce all subcontractor deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Implement and enforce strict quality assurance and safety protocols on construction sites.
  • Collaborate with safety and environmental teams to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor construction budgets and expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement effective project control measures to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for site / construction-related matters, liaising with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on construction progress, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges during construction phases and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address issues to prevent delays and ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in construction management, with a focus on renewable energy projects, direct experience constructing BESS projects strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
  • Experience with technical grid interconnection requirements for BESS system.
  • Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Effective leadership and communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy technologies and construction best practices.
