Program Overview
The Climate Aligned Industries (CAI) program works to decarbonize heavy industry and heavy transportation. We collaborate with a global network of businesses, financial institutions, and policymakers to facilitate and scale emissions reductions in these industrial sectors. One of CAIs priorities is to catalyze the development of new clean technologies (i.e., Hydrogen, CCS, Biofuels) through industrial hubs.
The Position Overview
RMI is seeking a Senior Associate to support the CAI team in evaluating and designing solutions for industrial hub development with a focus on community. Specifically looking at what benefits and opposition a region can expect from new industrial development across the value chain, developing meaningful community engagement plans, practices and principles, facilitating sessions with stakeholders to address topics of labor, workforce training and environmental justice, and articulating compelling key messages about hub projects. This position will provide support to several RMI projects focused on delivering clean industrial hubs (hydrogen and low carbon fuels). In particular, this position will evaluate community impacts and benefits for US Hydrogen Hub development.
