The Position

Sungrow is looking to bring on board a Sales Manager – C&I Business. This remote position is an important addition to our existing team, focusing on PV inverter sales in the C&I market segment. This key role will be a junior team member developing new and managing existing relationships for Sungrow. Targeted customer profiles include but are not limited to EPCs, integrators, developers, and channel partners.

The Sales Manager – C&I Business will work in parallel with the other team members, reporting to the Vice President North America – PV Business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Focus on new business generation. Target accounts that are strategically important to the company’s market segment specific growth. Establish relationships with strategically important customers.

· Manage existing customer relationships and increase supplier position.

· Promote Sungrow products across all players in this market segment, including our string inverter and occassionally our central inverter technologies.

· Contract negotiations including but not limited to master supply agreement, project specific purchase agreements, or similar contractual structures.

· Conduct joint presentations, provide proposals and pricing. Coordinate involvement of company personnel including sales, support, service, and management resources.

· Track sales opportunities and provide sales forecast of revenue on a regular basis and review sales results to ensure that established targets are being met; take corrective action where required.

· Assist the product management teams to define and improve the product portfolio for use in the North American market by regularly gathering feedback from customers, business partners and by closely monitoring industry trends.

· Attend trade shows, conferences, and other related events.

· Support the development of sales and marketing materials required for successful support in these market segments.

Competencies, Experience and Skills

· Minimum of two years’ experience in PV Industry sales. PV Inverter sales experience is a plus, especially if in the C&I market segment.

· Respected industry contributor and strong references, ideally from customers. Candidates should have knowledge of strategic selling and a verifiable record of successfully growing market share.

· Minimum of BA/BS degree in Business or Engineering.

· Technical aptitude with the ability to understand the technical workings of the Sungrow product line and convey the advanced technical product benefits to potential customers in easy-to-grasp terms.

· Contract negotiation experience. Understanding of commercial contractual risk and baseline knowledge of other contractual risk, such as legal implications or technical requirements.

· Ability to develop, grow and maintain positive long-term relationships.

· Demonstrated success in operating effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and rapid growth environment.

· Can-do attitude with strong capability in managing 360 degree and dynamic nature of businesses.

· Ability to de-escalate and overcome intense and high-pressure situations.

· Self-starter, solution-oriented, strong initiatives with an excellent verbal and written communication ability.

· Organized and detailed-oriented with capability to work under pressure and across functions at all levels, both internally and externally.

· Experience with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.

Work Location and Status:

· Full time, home office based.

· Travel up to 50%, mostly domestic but on occasion internationally.
