Summary
The project manager plans and organizes all architectural and engineering functions specific to each project, coordinates interaction between project teams and clients, and provides guidance on technical resource loading. The successful candidate must have a strong design discipline background along with experience managing architectural and engineering/design projects in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Works on highly complex projects of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires review of identifiable factors.
- Using broad industry knowledge to advise units or sub-units to ensure adherence to timelines and resolves problems.
- May design and develop solutions and enhancements to support business need identification.
- Manages and coordinates the activities of a project with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and resources.
- Work together with internal partners and sites to introduce and implement new products and processes
- Work with cross functional teams to develop project timelines, charters, scope statements, project execution plans, communication plans and establishing ways of working
- Provides regular updates to sponsors, stakeholders, and steering committees as needed.
- Leads project team meetings and participates in determining objectives of significant projects or assignments
- Works independently with little to no supervision. Exercises considerable discretion in determining objectives of and approaches to significant organizational projects or assignments.
- Exerts influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.

Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office suite of software tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), as well as, demonstrated competency in the use of MS Project.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards and all applicable regulatory requirements including: Building Codes, Factory Mutual, Environmental, GMP/GLP, OSHA and ADA.
- Strong understanding of Quality Systems
- Solid understanding of cGMPs. Able to interpret CFRs in establishing current practices.
- Demonstrated skills in basic technical report writing: Engineering studies, user requirement specifications, commissioning documents.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, influencing, organizational and time management skills.
