Location:

Western US (Southern California, NV, NM, AZ, TX)

Full Time, Direct Hire

Come work for the best of the best! Our client is known for manufacturing products that help regulate and manage electrical power in various industrial and commercial applications. Products such as voltage regulators, variable transformers, power conditioners, and UPS systems. This company is dedicated to delivering exceptional products and services to meet the needs of their diverse customer base. They are looking for a Western Business Development Manager to help grow and develop their Voltage Control business in the Western US.

In this role, you would be responsible for growing and managing industrial accounts focusing on the voltage regulator business in Western US and Mexico. They are searching for a “hunter” who is eager to grow sales channels, customers, and partners. This person would also be responsible for the identification and pursuit of new product or market opportunities that support the long term and short term strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in utilizing quote tools to handle customer inquiries effectively.
  • Capability to independently represent the organization to customers, principals, and senior management of resellers or manufacturers’ representatives in diverse and complex scenarios.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in Spanish is a beneficial asset.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and readiness to obtain a US passport if required.
  • Familiarity with sales automation systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to accommodate frequent overnight travel.

Optimal Experience:

  • Ideally, a candidate with a BSEE degree or equivalent qualifications.
  • Ten years of experience in product and OEM business development within the electrical equipment industry, or a comparable background.
  • Knowledge of power quality and voltage regulation applications is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate new and varied situations with creativity, integrity, and ingenuity.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular verbal communication via phone and in-person interactions.
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting at a desk or computer station, and use of computer equipment.
  • Ability to travel overnight as necessary for the role.
