Job Overview


The Warehouse Associate coordinates daily warehouse activities such as receiving and storing goods, ensuring the efficient delivery of goods, and securing the warehouse.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect inbound material shipments and assign them to inventory or active builds.
  • Assist with managing inventory levels.
  • Assist with performing inventory counts.
  • Assist with creating and assigning new bin locations.
  • Assist with preparing and loading outbound shipments.
  • Assist with picking parts for BOMs/Work Orders
  • Operate forklift.
  • Accurately counting and confirming shipments.
  • Receiving truck loads on a forklift as needed.
  • Cycle Counting inventory.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following safety procedures and reporting any safety concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Develop best practices to improve inventory handling, quality, and reliability.


Reports To

The position will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and also report to the VP of Operations.

Qualifications

  • Warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Must be computer proficient. ERP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to learn new computer systems.
  • Experience operating a forklift is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with mechanical or electrical equipment and production workflow is helpful.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
  • Must be self-motivated and a great team worker.

Physical Requirements

  • The ability to communicate orally with delivery drivers, management, and other co-workers.
  • Standing for extended periods is common.
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges, with or without corrective lenses or an assisted hearing device.
  • Some heavy lifting is expected; occasional exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force may be required.
  • Retrieving, moving and staging materials for inventory and production needs.

Work Environment

  • The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional manufacturing and production setting. Extended periods of standing are expected.
