About the Role

Client is a Global Renewable Energy IPP and developing renewable energy projects across Asia and the U.S. Globally, they have 20+ GWs pipeline and are backed by a Global Private Equity Fund.

This role for a VP of Development Engineering is a technical leadership role to drive several utility-scale renewable energy projects from early-stage site analysis though construction completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • VP of Development Engineering would deliver best in-class engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • VP of Project Engineering, will be responsible for risk management throughout the project life-cycle and propose mitigating actions.
  • VP of Project Engineering will work closely with the Developers and Land Acquisition to assess land options at an early stage.
  • VP of Project Engineering will drive and manage technical scope for engineering external works, such as: geotechnical investigations, topographic surveys, 30% civil engineering substation engineering, and etc.
  • VP of Project Engineering will drive the optimization process to achieve Best in Class designed projects.

Key Requirements

  • VP of Development Engineering must have an Engineering degree – Civil Engineering preferred. Advanced Degree preferred.
  • VP of Development Engineering must have 15-20 years of experience in Power Engineering, with the last 5+ years in Project Engineering in Solar, Wind, Energy Storage.
  • VP of Development Engineering must have 3-5 years in a similar role at an IPP (covering early-stage development till COD).
  • VP of Development Engineering must have proven leadership and management skills, along with a track record of driving expensive, multi-disciplinary projects to successful completion.
