We are seeking a Vice President of Transmission to lead all aspects of transmission and market operations for a renewable energy independent power producer.

The preferred candidate has 15+ years of transmission interconnection and grid analytics experience, specifically within renewable energy. This position will create and implement a strategic transmission plan to support project development, asset management, and re-powering efforts.

• Support project development by implementing a strategic transmission plan to coordinate development and commercial efforts.
• Support commercial activities including transactions such as PPAs, hedging agreements, interconnection agreements, and transmission agreements.
• Screen markets for transmission capacity, congestion analysis, new transmission developments, and identify strategic points of interconnection.
• Focus on economic, regulatory, and operational issues for wind, solar, and storage assets located in multiple markets.
• Create an analytical function to provide in-depth analysis of locational market clearing prices and the associated transmission congestion costs.
• Financial modeling, budgetary accountabilities, software procurement, and hiring of essential team members.
• Oversee all engineering support including interconnection studies, engineering reports from 3rd parties, and interconnection issues.
