Position Overview

The Vice President will play a key leadership role in managing the firm’s investment activities across the power and renewables sectors. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, strong financial acumen, and proven experience in sourcing, structuring, and executing private equity investments. This individual will work closely with senior leadership, portfolio companies, and industry partners to drive value creation and deliver exceptional returns to investors.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Sourcing & Execution:

  • Identify, assess, and develop new investment opportunities in the power, renewables, and energy infrastructure sectors.
  • Lead deal execution, including financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, and structuring of transactions.
  • Coordinate and oversee legal, technical, and commercial advisors in executing transactions.

Portfolio Management:

  • Collaborate with portfolio company management teams to execute value creation strategies and operational improvements.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of portfolio companies, including financial performance, strategic initiatives, and growth plans.
  • Assist in board governance and provide strategic input to portfolio companies.

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Stay current with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting the energy transition, renewable energy, and related sectors.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to support investment decision-making and portfolio strategy.

Investor Relations & Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with limited partners (LPs) and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present investment opportunities, portfolio updates, and fund performance reports to the investment committee and investors.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior investment professionals, contributing to the development of the team’s analytical and execution capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to support the firm’s growth objectives.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or corporate development, with a focus on power and renewable energy sectors.
  • Proven track record of leading and executing complex transactions in the energy and infrastructure space.
  • Strong understanding of energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar, wind, energy storage, grid modernization).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degrees preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for the energy transition and sustainability.
