Description

Location: United States (Remote), frequent visits to Texas.

We are partnered with a leader in the solar energy industry, who is in search of a Vice President of Sales to drive strategy and engage customers throughout every stage of the value chain. Reporting to the SVP of Sales for North America, you will be responsible for achieving revenue goals and providing strategic leadership.

The Role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligning with business objectives in the USA and globally.
  • Identify new business opportunities, expand market presence, and enhance revenue streams through innovative sales strategies.
  • Lead the USA-based sales team to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and meet sales targets.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to secure new business and foster long-term business relations.
  • Oversee daily sales operations, ensuring operational efficiency and excellence in execution.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
  • Manage the financial performance of sales operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze market trends and sales performance data to make informed decisions and adjustments to the sales strategy.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, market challenges, and technological advancements to adapt strategies and maintain competitive edge.
  • Advocate for the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and practices within the sales team and broader organization.

Qualifications

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in leadership positions in the renewable energy industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to surpass sales targets.
  • Technical understanding of solar energy systems and solar trackers would be advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA is preferred.
