About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Legal to join their mission of creating a more sustainable future through innovative solutions. The successful candidate will serve as a key partner to the global business, providing legal guidance that aligns with the company’s values and strategic goals. This role involves overseeing a wide range of legal matters, including corporate governance, legal compliance, contract negotiations, intellectual property, and employment issues. The VP, Legal will also be instrumental in strategic initiatives such as fundraising, M&A, and crisis management, and will be responsible for leading and growing a high-performing legal team. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in California and have a minimum of 15 years’ diverse legal experience, with a strong background in corporate legal matters and a proven track record in a high-growth or turnaround business setting. Experience in FoodTech, AgTech, or other deep tech companies is a strong asset. The role requires a professional with exemplary judgment, the ability to work independently, and a customer service-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing legal projects, be adept at leading a team, and have a focus on talent development.
