Job Description
Job Duties:
- Identify, grade, and remove veneer sheets based on size, thickness, and quality as they move along the conveyor system, ensuring compliance with production standards.
- Hand-stack veneer sheets in an organized and precise manner, contributing to efficient workflow and minimizing waste.
- Inspect materials for defects such as knots, splits, and warping, making decisions on appropriate grading and sorting for further processing.
- Assist with veneer handling and feeding operations, ensuring the smooth and consistent movement of materials along the production line.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by removing debris and ensuring equipment is functioning properly, adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals, troubleshoot issues, and improve processes.
- Participate in routine maintenance checks on equipment to identify and report any malfunctions or repairs needed to avoid production delays.
- Monitor the flow of materials and make adjustments to the conveyor system or stacking process as needed to maintain optimal production speed and product quality.
- Assist with end-of-shift cleanup and equipment shutdown procedures to ensure a smooth transition for the next shift.

Pay: $21.92 – $22.02 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
