Functional area : Renewables (Offshore)
Purpose Of Position
RWE Renewables Offshore Wind requires a Manager to join the Projects & Investments North America (P&I NA). This position requires a self-motivated, highly responsible, and sophisticated communicator to work with the existing team members to support various offshore initiatives in North America.
The P&I NA team’s responsibilities are to 1. provide independent valuation analysis of project opportunities in support of the development process; 2. Manage and execute the formal investment approval process; 3. Serve as the lead financial representative within a project. This role specifically requires more emphasis on (2) and (1).
The team – jointly and individually – also serves a governance role to ensure only fairly represented (challenging others when not) and appropriately analyzed proposals reach the decision level. In addition, the team partners with the business to understand key valuation drivers and dynamics, all to help guide tactical and strategic decision making as well as to optimize project opportunities. Due to the international nature of the team, intellectual flexibility and cultural sensitivity are paramount, along with the required level of general professionalism.
