Underwriter / Sr. Underwriter, Renewable Energy – Remote | WFH

Are you an entrepreneurial insurance leader with a passion for renewable energy? We’re seeking an innovative Underwriter to join our Renewable Energy Property Insurance team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in developing and implementing underwriting standards for our renewable energy clients. We’re looking for someone who can independently create a decision-making framework, gather supporting evidence, and execute plans effectively.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Underwriting Experience: A solid background in underwriting, particularly in renewable energy or related fields. Experience with natural catastrophe underwriting and natcat software is a plus.
• Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of information, develop a well-supported thesis, and clearly communicate your proposals.
• Operational Capability: Comfort with a startup environment where a hands-on, action-oriented approach is essential.
• Self-Starter: Ability to independently lead and manage projects while knowing when to seek support and trust your analytical processes.
• Problem Solver: Skilled at considering multiple stakeholder perspectives, devising solutions, and building consensus.
• Relationship Builder: Experience in working with brokers and cultivating strong, mutually beneficial relationships.
