Transmission Specialist

As Transmission Specialist, you will be performing installations, testing, commissioning and maintenance of HVDC transmission systems. You must be safety oriented and GWO certified. The Transmission Specialist will be working with the engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and ensure reliability and efficiency.

Candidates should have a bachelors degree and GWO certification (mandatory) as well as 3+ years experience in transmission projects and working with HVDC converters. This project is slated to last 2 years with possible 1 year extension. Per diems available to those who qualify.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HVDC transmission systems at the Long Island substation.
• Ensure compliance with GWO standards and safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Provide hands-on expertise in the operation and maintenance of HVDC converters and transmission systems.
• Manage the overall efficiency and reliability of the transmission systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
