Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transmission Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and optimizing transmission systems to ensure reliable and efficient energy delivery. This is a remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Planning: Develop and design transmission systems, including overhead and underground lines, substations, and related infrastructure.
• System Analysis: Perform load flow, stability, and short-circuit studies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the transmission network.
• Optimization & Maintenance: Optimize transmission systems for cost-efficiency and reliability, and develop maintenance schedules and protocols.
• Project Management: Lead and manage projects from conception through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and operations comply with relevant standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, field engineers, and external stakeholders, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, technical specifications, and other documentation for internal and external use.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transmission engineering or a related field.
• Experience with transmission line design software and tools (e.g., PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, etc.).
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., NESC, IEEE, FERC, etc.).
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with renewable energy projects.
• Familiarity with GIS and other mapping tools.
