Job Description

Climate17 is working with an international renewable energy developer seeking an engineer with strong transmission experience and people skills with a background in solar and/or storage.

With a strong project pipeline of utility-scale solar and storage across PJM, MISO, NYISO, ERCOT and SPP; this role works closely with the development team.

Location: Remote, Eastern or Central US

About The Role

To lead interconnection through concept, submittal, and early stage development.

  • Create, manage, and track utility interconnection applications.
  • Build key relationships with ISO’s, RTO’s, and utilities.
  • Develop and execute new renewable energy projects.
  • Investigate the feasible options and identify POIs.
  • Load flow and steady state reliability studies.
  • High-level substation design.

About You

  • Experience at an IPP or Developer, ISO/RTO, Utility, or Consulting Firm
  • BS degree in Engineering Field
  • Strong Transmission Understanding and Technical Skills
  • Power system studies, and/or regulatory strategy.
  • Excellent Communication

Salary and Benefits

  • $100,000 – $120,000 based on experience
  • 25% incentive bonus
