Description
A Thermal Decarbonization Engineer will perform Audits, Studies, Thermal Assessments in order to solve system issues and provide solutions for our customers.
Also will be responsible for the training of sales representatives and provide support for the sales, marketing, and vertical markets teams.
Key Responsibilities
Will visit plants/facilities to identify root causes of issues/problems while collecting information, analyze thermal systems and maintain safety.
Work in office:
Answer questions and inquiries (phone, e-mail) from customers, sales, marketing, reps, ATMs, VMDs
Studies related – data analysis, calculations (excel), equipment specifications (need to know Armstrong’s products and applications), report writing (word, SAGE), preparing presentations
Proposals related- Communicate with customers and Reps to define scope of work and required/desired deliverables; Estimate the cost of the study; Write a proposal
Develop new and re-purpose existing training materials
Other duties as assigned and not limited to the above
Key Requirements
Knowledge of steam, hot water – processes, products and applications
Knowledge of any other thermal systems – process heaters, cooling towers, chillers a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software / knowledge of SAGE, SalesForce, IFS a plus
Ability to follow all safety practices and protocols
Ability to read drawings and make schematics/drawings
Willingness to train/learn the position if applicable
Physical and Mental stamina to stand, walk, lift, and adjust to the noise and lighting of the manufacturing environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to prioritize tasks
Collaborates with current team while building positive professional new relationships
Ability to remain professional in stressful situations
Proficient in the use of instrumentation to perform measurements and download readings

Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
