JOB SUMMARY:

This key role is responsible for the onsite testing and maintenance of EV charging stations. including but not limited to site safety, electrical system maintenance/repair, site field reports, and other duties as required to properly maintain and operate the site within the contractual requirements. This role must be able to work independently with little to no supervision and will be required to work in the field under various conditions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/ revisions to a broad range of equipment, ranging from Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers to DC Fast Chargers.
  • Testing interoperability of EV Chargers ( Level 2 and 3 DC Fast Chargers ) with vehicles and backend. Generate test reports, and communicate effectively to representative parties with issues and necessary corrective actions.
  • Perform acceptance testing for firmware and software releases. generate test reports and train on new features and product release.
  • Perform testing on equipment, including but not limited to; insulation testing (megger testing), thermal imagery, torque tests, and performance evaluations.
  • Troubleshoot system performance issues and locate/isolate ground faults.
  • Review site manuals and drawings to ensure proper service and maintenance of equipment.
  • In fieldwork including electrical and mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance of site equipment, site field reporting, work order completion, and other work as needed.
  • Ensure that all issues at the site are documented in the work order system and are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Work independently and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel domestically.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years’ equivalent experience in servicing electrical power equipment in the commercial or utility energy field and/or formal electrical training.
  • Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Technical knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers, solar power installations, or other applicable power electronics is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate, track, and complete site work requirements.
  • Completed – Four year degree in Electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems independently with a high level of results orientation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, type, and write.
  • Reach with hands and arms, bend, stand on a stool, or climb, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Use standard office equipment such as computers, smartphones, printers, photocopiers, etc.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Lift files and open desk drawers and filing cabinets.

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt

Pay: $26 hourly to $30 hourly

  • The above represents the expected hourly range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your experience and other job-related factors.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift Mondays – Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
