What You’ll Do

We are seeking a results focused sales professional to manage our sales efforts in the Northeast (Maryland to Maine). IronRidge sells through a distribution network and the Territory Manager is the point person between our distributors, installers, and the company.

In this role, the relationship-oriented Territory Manager will manage and direct the day-to- day execution of our sales activities with installers and our distribution partners. As a Territory Manager you are motived to develop your distribution partners by engaging installers, EPCs and others resulting in continued partner growth in your respective market.

  • Cultivate new and lasting relationships with local and national installers while moving the sales process through our distribution network
  • Develop and expand relationships with existing distribution partners and end users (installers)
  • Create, implement, and execute a strategic, regionally focused sales plan that delivers results
  • Concisely convey the value proposition of IronRidge and our superior product offering
  • Motivate our distributor’s sales organizations to increase their share of IronRidge as a percentage of sale with our new products, services, and tools
  • Train our distributors and end users on the features of IronRidge products with a focus on their value
  • Manage the entirety of the distribution relationship including channel conflict within the region
  • Work with our internal team (product performance, technical services, customer service, and inside sales) in support of the success of your territory.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years in sales and/or sales management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A proven track record in above average sales results and account management
  • Experience in proactive sales environments with high degree of personal initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and convey mechanical information
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills with a history of building long-standing professional relationships
  • Personal commitment to customer service and follow through
  • Inherent ability to listen and develop an immediate value proposition when selling
  • Ability to travel frequently. This position is approximately 50-70% travel.
  • Familiarity with salesforce.com or similar CRM platform and the associated processes to win opportunities
  • Comfortable working in a decentralized, fast paced environment
  • Spanish (conversation) is a plus, but is not required.
  • Knowledge of solar technology and markets (preferred)
  • Understanding of channel sales with ability to manage executive relationships (preferred)
  • Public speaking skills and ability to plan training events (preferred)
  • Experience working in product manufacturing organizations (preferred)

Where You’ll Be Located

We ask that our Territory Managers reside in the region that they support. For this position we can consider candidates located in New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Because you will be expected to travel throughout your region on an ongoing basis, proximity to a major airport for ease of travel is preferred.

What We’ll Offer

We offer competitive compensation determined by each individual’s relevant experience, skills, education and location. We anticipate the base salary for this position to be between $80,000 and $100,000/annually. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for our commission plan. If your desired salary falls outside of these rates, we hope you’ll still apply as there may be other roles that better align.
