Job Description

Taylor Hopkinson is in search of a highly skilled and experienced Sales Engineer/Technical Sales/Application Manager with a global leader in power electronic devices for the PV, wind, and energy sectors, with a global presence in Europe, Latin America, the USA, China, South Africa, and India.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and integrate systems for renewable generation plants, storage systems, and large-scale hybrid systems.
  • Conduct economic assessments of these systems.
  • Develop solutions for managing generation and consumption in hybrid plants.
  • Support the maintenance of plant functionalities during the warranty period.
  • Manage technical-commercial projects from definition through execution and commissioning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Relevant experience in the sector and tasks, particularly with BESS
  • Willingness to occasionally travel internationally.
  • Experience with electrical systems, power electronics converters, and their control.
  • Knowledge of power electronic equipment and sizing.
  • Experience sizing power systems to meet grid code requirements.
  • Previous experience in technical project and client management.
  • Previous experience analyzing and ensuring grid code compliance for photovoltaic and storage plants, generating reports, proposing improvements, and implementing them.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience with storage systems and reactive power compensation systems.
  • Familiarity with grid code compliance.
  • Experience commissioning power converters and using laboratory measurement and instrumentation equipment.
  • Experience in power system simulations on platforms such as PSCAD, Digsilent, PSSE, PVSYST, and ASPEN.
