Position: Team Lead, Accounts Receivable & Remittance

As a vital member of our Operations team, the Team Lead, Accounts Receivable & Remittance will play a crucial role in establishing and managing our accounts receivable responsibilities, documentation, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate is someone with strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and extensive experience in accounts receivable management. They should have a proven track record of enhancing efficiency and accuracy in remittance procedures, along with excellent cross-team collaboration abilities and experience in motivating others to achieve departmental goals.

The company is open to candidates working fully remotely, and our employees have access to co-working spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee remittance processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage default payments, unpaid invoices, and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain aging reports and ensure timely updates.
  • Troubleshoot payment-related issues promptly, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of payments, invoices, and financial transactions.
  • Communicate with customers regarding payment issues and provide necessary outreach for resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, finance, and collections to address payment discrepancies and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary changes to optimize payment workflows.
  • Provide support and assistance to internal and external stakeholders regarding payment-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Communicate with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans.
  • Create reports and balance sheets documenting client’s overall profits and losses.

Qualifications

Must-haves:

  • 3+ years of experience in collections, billing, or accounts receivable.
  • 3+ years of experience in people management.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
  • Organizational proficiency.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Efficient time management.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Vendor relationship management.
  • Basic SQL knowledge & abilities.
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to changes in team dynamics.
  • Ability to mentor and guide others.
  • Cross-team collaboration.
  • Exceptional Excel and Microsoft skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Zendesk.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment.
  • Knowledge of billing software.

Compensation

The target annual compensation range for this role is $70,000 to $115,000, with competitive benefits and equity components. The exact compensation will be determined based on the skills, experience, and location of the qualified candidate.
