Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales – Energy

Location: Nationwide

Overview: The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales (Energy) is a key leadership role responsible for driving the sales strategy and execution across our organization, with a strong focus on advancing our initiatives in Decarbonization, Future Fuels, Renewables, and Grid Modernization. This individual will lead a dynamic sales team, develop innovative market approaches, and foster strategic partnerships to propel our growth in these critical areas. The SVP of Sales – Energy will play a pivotal role in positioning our company as a leader in sustainable energy solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, a deep understanding of the energy markets and technologies, and a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with the companys goals in Decarbonization (energy efficiency, building efficiency, commissioning, retro-commissioning), Future Fuels (including hydrogen fleets and EV), Renewables (offshore wind, utility solar), and Grid Modernization (battery and energy storage).
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and analysis, focusing on sustainable energy solutions and the broader transition to a cleaner energy future.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape to adjust sales strategies and ensure a competitive edge.
  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities within the Decarbonization, Future Fuels, Renewables, and Grid Modernization sectors.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new products and services, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry leaders.
  • Represent the company at local and national industry-specific conferences to enhance brand visibility and client engagement.
  • Conduct regular client visits and presentations to maintain strong relationships and address any client concerns or requirements promptly.

Sales Operations and Reporting:

  • Oversee daily sales activities, ensuring efficient operation and achievement of sales targets.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Utilize CRM systems to track sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

Travel and Client Interaction:

  • Travel extensively (up to 75% of the workweek) to client sites across the U.S. to build relationships and close deals.
  • Conduct sales calls, attend business events, and participate in industry functions to enhance client interaction and sales opportunities.
  • Attend and actively participate in industry-specific forums, trade shows, and networking events to generate leads and promote the company’s services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years in the Energy and Sustainable Energy Solutions sales industry.
  • Deep understanding of Decarbonization (energy efficiency, building efficiency, commissioning, retro-commissioning), Future Fuels (hydrogen fleets, EV), Renewables (offshore wind, utility solar), and Grid Modernization (battery and energy storage) markets and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell business-to-business services within the energy sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Pay: From $160,000.00 per year
