Job Overview

The CSU Process Supervisor supports the preparation of home office deliverables and site inspection and testing performed during the Commissioning and Start-Up (CSU) phase of the project.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Reports to the CSU Process Superintendent.
  • Assist planning, development and execution of a safe Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Startup and Performance Testing of the facility.
  • Develops project deliverables (e.g., schedules, procedures, manuals, systemization, spares, etc.)
  • Liaise with equipment manufacturers during the execution of site activities.
  • Liaise with the Preservation Coordinator in maintaining process piping and mechanical equipment.
  • Implements, maintains or changes work schedules of piping and mechanical craft personnel.

Essential Qualifications and Education

  • 10+ years of experience in a lead process commissioning and start-up role on EPC projects or in an operating petrochemical facility.
  • Effectively communicate technical solutions to other engineers and non-engineers.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (presentation skills), Visio.
  • Knowledgeable in the develop of operating manuals, standard operating procedures.
  • Good organizational skills and adaptable to potential changes in the project.
  • Proficiency in English
  • Proficient in Safety Instrumented Function Test Procedures.

Preferred Qualifications and Education

  • Process Technical Certification from an accredited technical school.
  • B.S. Chemical Engineering (BSChE).
  • Familiar with codes and standards of ANSI, API, ASME, CSA, NACE, NFPA.
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Local Area Safety Council Certificate.
  • Multi-language skills.
