Sr. Substation Project Engineer

This role involves leading a talented team in delivering renewable generation substation projects from early-stage design to execution. Based in our Juno Beach facility, you will manage the engineering aspects of diverse projects across Florida.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead renewable generation substation projects from concept to commissioning.
• Collaborate with the Early-Stage Project Manager to define project scopes and engineering needs.
• Oversee detailed planning, including work schedules, cost estimates, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Conduct regular project meetings, track progress, and analyze results to ensure timely completion.
• Provide technical oversight and training to external engineers, ensuring compliance with interconnection standards.
• Communicate project status and key findings to internal and external stakeholders through presentations and reports.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel across worksites in Florida.
• Strong project management skills with experience in renewable energy or substation projects.
• Ability to manage large or complex projects within set budgets and timelines.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for stakeholder collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; professional engineering certification is a plus.
