Job Overview The Strategic Marketing Sr Manager will support the development and deployment of Business Unit’s Growth Initiatives utilizing strong strategic marketing, market research, and agile project management development skillset.

She/he will be focused on screening, evaluation, and development of market opportunities for the business to inform “where to play” and “how to win” choices for the business and drive growth. This will include market sizing, determining market attractiveness, evaluating demand outlook for products, collaborating with internal stakeholders and using secondary as well as primary research methodologies as required. This role will act as a player-coach, helping to build and manage strategic marketing process, standard work, and methodology for delivering on desired business objectives.

Typical Responsibilities Include

Strategic Marketing:

  • Screens, evaluates, and develops analysis of market opportunities in support of informing ‘where to play and ‘how to win’ choices for the business unit
  • Designs and executes research, analysis of opportunities (e.g., markets, customer segments, customer needs, products, geographies etc.) in support of growth objectives
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to define, refine, and execute on deliverables
  • Leverages secondary and primary research methods to derive actionable insights
  • Analyzes data, synthesizes findings, and develops recommendations of opportunities for growth based on predefined success criteria
  • Builds an understanding of the ‘big picture’, uncovers customer needs, and translates them into opportunities to grow revenue
  • Develops standard work to drive repeatable outcomes and execution velocity
  • Manages external vendor relationships as they relate to the scope of the research objectives
  • Leverages tools and technology – data/analytics, and project management tools

Project Management

  • Translate project requirements into clear execution plans
  • Systematically drive desired outcomes via right level of project design, execution milestones, time, and budget management.
  • Leverages agile methodology to improve speed and velocity of execution

What Your Background Should Look Like

Desired Skills and Capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Strategic Marketing, Business Strategy, Product Management, or Market Research
  • Direct experience leading large scale, global projects supporting growth of B2B products or services.
  • Experience in executing primary research projects
  • Familiarity with Tableau, Wave, data and analytics, and project management tools.
  • Highly analytical strategic thinker with solid problem-identification and solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, committed to accuracy and outcome, communicates complex ideas concisely.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly driven self-starter, dynamic, action oriented, intellectually curios
  • Proven ability to manage across functions particularly where resources do not report directly to the role

Location: US remote, no relocation, must be located in the US Eastern or Central Time Zone.

Travel: 10%

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $150,000 – 225,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
