What We’re Looking For

The Sr. Manager, Solutions Delivery (Energy Optimization) is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of technical solutions projects and plays a crucial role in enhancing our solutions delivery capabilities, focused on commercial energy optimization projects in the solar and storage industry, among others. The role requires a blend of solar energy industry expertise, technical acumen and project management skills to effectively deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.

This role involves managing multiple technical projects or significant segments of major projects, including requirements gathering from clients, collaborating with technical leaders to convert business requirements into technical requirements, resource allocation, schedule management, and maintaining client relationships. The Solutions Delivery Manager ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction, while also leading and developing multi-disciplinary project teams. This role is also responsible for ensuring profitability across the Professional Services project portfolio and driving revenue growth for the Professional Services department by supporting go to market activities.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Professional Services. The project delivery teams are shared resources allocated on a project to project basis from relevant departments in the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and oversee the technical project lifecycle, from conception through delivery, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Manage project teams, assigning responsibilities, providing direction, and resolving issues to ensure effective team operations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction with the delivered solutions
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis on client requirements to determine project scope and objectives
  • Develop and refine project specifications and solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate solutions with broader company products and strategies
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project completion
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project status to senior management and other key stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvements in solutions practices based on analytical insights and industry trends
  • Drive revenue growth for the Professional Services department by supporting go to market activities
  • Track, analyze and ensure profitability across the Professional Services portfolio

Must-haves

What will help you succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree in Business or Project Management is advantageous
  • Expertise in energy analytics involving distributed energy resources, solar and storage optimization
  • Experience with solutions that use API call sequences, Python scripts, SQL programming and database development
  • Experience writing business requirements for technical projects
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering teams to convert business requirements into technical solution design and implementation plans
  • Familiarity and comfort dealing with complex and nuanced data topics
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in project management, specifically in a solutions delivery or related technical environment
  • Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams and projects
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and tools (PMP certification is a plus)
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments including technical teams
  • Effective, persuasive communication and presentation skills

Target Annual Compensation Range for this role will be $110,000 to $175,000. There will also be a competitive benefits and equity (bonus if applicable) component to the package. The exact compensation at which this job is filled will be determined by the skills, experience, and location of the qualified candidate.
