Position: Sourcing Specialist

Report To Title: Director, Procurement

Location: Remote

Position Overview:

The Sourcing Specialist analyzes, organizes, and improves sourcing processes for the Corporate Procurement team, working closely with Category Managers to streamline operations and reduce costs. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • New supplier onboarding, which includes collaborating with Supplier Quality for onsite audits, and following up on due diligence and risk rating.
  • Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the needs of the business.
  • Perform detailed cost analysis of components and processes used by our suppliers to ensure the highest quality product at the lowest cost solution.
  • Negotiate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders, conduct problem resolution, and settle disputes, develop win/win solutions, and promote positive relations.
  • Act as Procurement liaison for new product launches and manage corresponding sourcing activities to meet project cost and timeline goals.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across different organizational levels, sites, functions, businesses, and regions to realize sourcing goals and objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business, or 8+ years equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • MRP/ERP experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong data analysis skills (Intermediate Excel).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel ~10%, potentially more in the 1st year.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS or similar certification.
  • Experience in the energy storage industry.
  • Previous experience with large capital projects.
