The Position

S&OP Manager

Job Summary
Imerys, global leader in mineral based solutions, is hiring a S&OP Manager. In this role, you will drive the S&OP process to ensure the delivery of mid to long-term business objectives and customer satisfaction. You will be the main point of contact between the Commercial team and Operations leadership, as they together will define the business planning strategy for the future of the business area.
Location: Hybrid, 3 days in Roswell office, 2 days work from home
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leads the S&OP Process for assets that process US Carbonates, Wollastonite, and Mica.
  • Coordinate plans with Product Managers to ensure the 90 day production schedule is aligned with service objectives. Communicate requirements to Customer Service and Operations for execution.
  • Develop standard tools & processes across business areas, finding benchmarks and synergies to embrace performance excellence, customer satisfaction and inventory optimization.
  • Consolidate demand forecasting process, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information from market segments and finance, for multiple time horizons (18m rolling, year end, etc.) under the assigned scope.
  • Participate in the Performance Minerals Americas S&OP Executive meeting, after the S&OP has completed the monthly S&OP process for the minerals within the business area. Driving the decision making process for the key assets of the business area.
  • Ensures data generated by functional stakeholders is suitable for the trans-mineral S&OP process. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in data collection.
  • Analyze supply and demand issues in key assets. Prepares all data, metrics and scenarios to be discussed during the monthly S+OP meetings and day to day operational planning.
  • Ensures identification, monitoring and reporting of assumptions, risks and opportunities related to the medium to long-term business targets.
  • Reviews assigned KPIs for the business area to evaluate the health of the business. Ensures KPIs related to S&OP follow guidelines from standardized operations to promptly provide action plans to be monitored in the immediate future.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree: International Business, Logistics or Industrial / Supply Chain related degree plus 3 years experience OR
  • OR 6 years of Supply Chain experience
  • Experience with Supply Chain planning experience and advanced Excel skills. Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.
