About The Role

The Solutions Engineer (SE) is responsible for client facing data driven decisions around module procurement. They serve as the primary technical interface between customers and our one-of-a-kind platform, acting as the subject matter expert in data driven solutions. Our Solutions Engineers drive constant innovation by leveraging Anza’s expansive product data set and optimization technology to solve novel problems for our developer and IPP customers, and provide critical feedback to Anza’s software development process to constantly improve our technology. A successful candidate would demonstrate competence in solar development engineering, practical problem solving, and engineering optimization.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Oversee the technical evaluation of solar modules on our platform to support client engagements
  • Act as a subject matter expert regarding solar module technology options for our clients
  • Drive innovation of Anza’s technology by leveraging our supplier and product data to solve novel customer problems
  • Gain in-depth understanding of customer use cases for our technology and offer insight to the product management team
  • Provide expertise to internal and external teams to support services execution, including technical analysis support.
  • Recommend development or acquisition of tools, equipment and methodology to support services execution.
  • Train Sales and Customers on technical aspects of Anza’s Platform services

While no one individual will possess them all, the successful candidate will bring many of the following experiences, skills, and attributes:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 3-5 years of related experience in utility-scale solar development, design, and construction
  • Ability to speak on system design and cost/production driven decisions.
  • Experience with development and IPP models, with exposure to project finance models.
  • Proficiency in Autocad, Excel/Google sheets, PVsyst, and familiarity with Python.
