The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 – $160,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What You’ll Do
The primary purpose of this position is to provide program level leadership for Microgrid Control Systems engineering, design, implementation, and negotiation consultation. Microgrid Control Systems include control of Utility, Solar Photovoltaic (PV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Diesel/Natural gas generators using Automation Controllers, HMI’s, Multi-function Protection Relays, and Data Concentrators from all major OEM’s as well as Eaton’s own Power Xpert microgrid control (PXMC) solutions. A stand-out candidate is an experienced controls program manager with technical expertise in the rapidly evolving microgrid and distributed generation space. This role is responsible for functionally leading team of Microgrid engineers located in different regions across the U.S & support strategic initiatives to grow Microgrid business. This role will be a key interface with customers, Energy Transition sales force, application engineers, Negotiations/Proposals engineers, and Microgrid Product Line.
In This Function, You Will
Position Criteria For This Role Include
Knowledge and understanding of best engineering practices for design of automation systems, power management systems, human-machine interface software, PLC programming, etc.
Solid experience and background on control design and automation and developing standard control and automation codes according to IEC 61131-3 standard for structured text.
Demonstrated experience in hardware, software, and controls development for DERs and microgrids.
Experience and solid understanding of microgrids, renewable energy integration, and battery energy storage systems & microgrid controls, energy management systems, and electrical SCADA applications.
Working knowledge of utility industry communications protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, IEC61580).
Exceptional ability to lead, collaborate, openly communicate, influence others, present and negotiate effectively across disciplines and stakeholders (marketing, engineering, customer support, etc.)
Available for travel & mobility 25% of time
