Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs of solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with OEM requirements and warranties.
  • Identify issues and develop corrective action plans.
  • Perform various testing activities, including open circuit voltage, I-V curves, DC current, power meter verification, resistance, thermography, and megger testing.
  • Travel to project sites for on-site installation, repair, maintenance, oversight, and modifications.
  • Conduct Quality Control inspections on assigned construction projects.
  • Audit third-party systems for potential O&M service contract sales.
  • Oversee and coordinate contractors’ work on installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Record and report faults, deficiencies, and unusual occurrences, including time and materials used on work orders. Handle all repairs, maintenance, and warranty claims, developing forms if necessary.
  • Prepare reports and communicate maintenance and troubleshooting results to customers.
  • Complete required training and qualifications within specified time frames, meeting or exceeding test score requirements.
  • Lead or assist in developing and revising processes and procedures.
  • Familiarize yourself with the requirements of each assigned O&M contract.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of PV/Solar experience
  • Strong troubleshooting experience
  • Electrical background
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • OSHA certifications preferred
