Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs of solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with OEM requirements and warranties.
- Identify issues and develop corrective action plans.
- Perform various testing activities, including open circuit voltage, I-V curves, DC current, power meter verification, resistance, thermography, and megger testing.
- Travel to project sites for on-site installation, repair, maintenance, oversight, and modifications.
- Conduct Quality Control inspections on assigned construction projects.
- Audit third-party systems for potential O&M service contract sales.
- Oversee and coordinate contractors’ work on installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Record and report faults, deficiencies, and unusual occurrences, including time and materials used on work orders. Handle all repairs, maintenance, and warranty claims, developing forms if necessary.
- Prepare reports and communicate maintenance and troubleshooting results to customers.
- Complete required training and qualifications within specified time frames, meeting or exceeding test score requirements.
- Lead or assist in developing and revising processes and procedures.
- Familiarize yourself with the requirements of each assigned O&M contract.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of PV/Solar experience
- Strong troubleshooting experience
- Electrical background
- High school graduate or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- OSHA certifications preferred
